Ocean Housing Group Ltd will be continuing to invest millions into improving and repairing their four and half thousand homes, and building new affordable homes for rent for local people.  At a Board meeting this week a further £23 million programme was approved that will bring about upgrading and improvements to homes.

Whilst the money will bring about greater comfort for the families who are having work carried out, it can be a life change for them in many ways.

Ocean’s Group Chief Executive David Renwick commented,

“We will be continuing with the programmes of upgrading kitchens/bathrooms, replacing and upgrading central heating systems.  We have in recent years had a major roof replacement programme with approximately 800 homes being completely re-roofed, these have proved invaluable to residents given the storms and heavy rain of the last few years!”

One resident who has just had her kitchen renewed, is Mrs Dowrick of Penwithick, who is thrilled with her new kitchen.

Mrs Dowrick stated

“It has made such a great difference for me, the kitchen is the focal point in my home and the improvements have made me one happy lady”.
