Ocean continually monitors and scrutinises the way we work and how we are doing. By striving to repeatedly achieve recognition each year from a variety of accreditation bodies such as BSI, Considerate Constructors, and CHAS, we can ensure the quality and standard of our work remains high across all our companies.
ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities. It helps us to grow while reducing the environmental impact of this growth. An ISO 14001 system provides the framework that allows us to meet increasingly high customer expectations of corporate responsibility as well as legal or regulatory requirements.
Companies receive a Certificate of Compliance if they score 5 or more points in each of the five sections of the Monitor's Company Report once each 12 month registration period has completed. The certificate will be awarded based on the results of the final visit covered under the yearly registration. This Certificate indicates a level of consideration, beyond statutory requirements, to the neighbour, the workforce, and the environment. In 2014, Ocean Services Ltd. were awarded the Silver Award.
