Having completed an ambitious £23 million, 5 year programme of repairs and improvements to tenants homes in March 2005, Ocean Housing has committed a similar sum to make sure all its homes meet or exceed the Government’s decent homes standard by 2010.
Included in this programme will be new heating systems in 1060 homes, new kitchen units in 671 homes and replacement bathroom suites in 702 homes. Roof will be renewed on 275 homes and 48 will be externally insulated and overclad.
As with the first 5-year programme those homes identified as being in the greatest need will be tackled first.
